Start at Best – Project Final Event

Start at Best presents its final event on workplace innovation for business competitiveness.

We are proud to announce that Start at Best – Workplace Innovation for Business Competitivity – an EU H2020 project has finally come to an end and to celebrate it we will host its final event on the 23rd November 2021 in a hybrid format.

The theme of the event is “Navigating post-COVID workplace innovation evolution: Exploring flexible working models, investing in reskilling and wellbeing and evaluating new policy trends”.

The event will be divided into two moments, an in-person meeting during the morning in the Press Club Brussels Europe, where we invited speakers from EISMEA, Allied for Startups, Google, ANI, and Eurofound, and an online session during the afternoon where projects’ participants will be invited to share their experiences and the activities they have carried out during this period.

You can register for the on-site event happening in Press Club Brussels Europe here, and for the afternoon online session here. If you wish to watch the event online, we will stream it on the project’s Facebook page.

For the past 30 months, the project aimed to increase awareness for the topic of workplace innovation. This regards changes in several business aspects, such as work environment, or human resources.

The project launched four calls: one regarding the EU, and three national ones. National calls were opened in Portugal, Ireland, and Italy. With a total budget of €225,000, the project aimed to support 30 individual companies or consortia of firms and providers by allocating direct funding through grants of €7,500. The funded projects were in compliance with four main topics: Jobs, Teams and Technology, Organisational Structures, Management and Processes, Employee Driven Improvement and Innovation, and Co-Created Leadership and Employee Voice.

We are now in the phase to communicate the results at a wider level and towards other sectors and regions, thus promoting the replication of successful initiatives across other industries and European countries.
