The European Week for Safety and Health at Work is held each year in October (calendar week 43) and is a highlight of every Healthy Workplaces Campaign. With hundreds of awareness-raising events taking place across the EU and beyond makes it the ideal opportunity to get involved in the campaign.
This year’s European week for safety and health at work continues to raise awareness on the current healthy workplaces campaign’s topic: Managing dangerous substances in the workplace, which was also last year’s theme. Previously, the theme week promoted topics such as sustainable workplaces for all ages.
The European agency for health and safety at work (EU-OSHA) collaborates with a network of national focal points, official campaign partners, media partners, and occupational safety and health ambassadors from the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). They work together to raise awareness during the European Week and organise events such as conferences, competitions, training sessions, networking and good practice events.
If you have an idea for an awareness-raising activity or want to launch a longer-term safety and health project, the European Week is the perfect opportunity to make sure your event stands out.
Organised by EU-OSHA and its partners, each European Week has the campaign theme at its heart and aims to raise awareness of the importance of active, participative workplace safety and health management.
